Derzhlisagentstvo will work with the Forest Service of the United States regarding forest fires

The Deputy Head of the State Agency of forest resources of Ukraine Volodymyr Bondar, met with a delegation of the forest service of the United States, which included representatives of the Centre for Suppression of fires and the departments of communication with the public.

During the meeting, Volodymyr Bondar has informed American counterparts about the General characteristics of forests in Ukraine, methods and measures to combat forest fires.

In their turn, representatives of the Forest Service of the United States shared their experiences in this regard, and also spoke about the problem of fires in forests that provided different lìsokoristuvačam. Head of the center of the extinguishing of forest fires Joseph Rejnarz said that during the extinguishing of forest fires the main coordination at all levels, as well as inter-agency coordination.

The parties agreed to begin a process of cooperation between the State Agency of forest resources of Ukraine and the Forest Service of the United States. In particular, on learning the experience of training firefighters and managers of extinction in the United States and conduct appropriate trainings in Ukraine; assistance in improving the protection of forests from fires in zones of radioactive contamination in Zhytomyr Oblast and the South of Ukraine.
