today, the international Scientific and Practical conference "the main problems and tendencies of forestry in the Ukrainian carpathians" started its work in Ivano-frankivsk.

The organizers of the event are the state agency of Forest Resources of ukraine, National Academy of Sciences of ukraine, Ivano-frankivsk Oblast Council and regional state administration, Ukrainian Research Institute of Mountain Forestry named After. P. S. pasternak, Precarpathian National University named after Vasyl stefanyk, Lisidelich Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Ivano-frankivsk regional Department of Forestry and Hunting Economy.

The Conference was attended by deputy chairman of the State forestry Committee. bonddar, Rector of the Precarpathian national University. In. Stefanyka I. tsependa, Head of the Association of Forestry of Ukraine Y. marchuk, director of Ukrniogorsk O. golychchak, as well as over 90 leading scientists representing scientific and educational institutions from all regions of Ukraine and Republic of poland, lisivnyky-practices from over 40 Enterprises and organizations of the Carpathian region, representatives of environmental and public organizations.

Volodymyr Bondar, deputy chairman of the state committee, said that the scientists should occupy a leading role in reforming the forest industry.

Today our scientists present a road map that has to reform forestry in the Ukrainian Carpathians on the basis of a close to the nature of Forestry. There are many new and necessary innovations in it. The question of gradual transition from solid forest to the methods approached to the nature of forestry, which was initiated by the state forestry, is one of the main directions of improvement of forest economy not only in the Carpathian region, but also on the whole Territory of the State. But this transition should be gradually taking into account all factors – from providing the necessary technologies and equipment, to the appropriate infrastructure supply and sale of Wood. I hope for a thorough discussion of this issue, as this document is planned for consideration and approval within the Scientific and Technical Council under the state Committee,-said Volodymyr Bondar.
