Vladimir Bondar in Lviv told deputies about the State of forestry in Ukraine.

on February 13, the national forestry Technical University (m. Lviv) hosted the visiting session of the Parliamentary Committee on agrarian policy and land relations, which reviewed the reform of Forestry of Ukraine.

The meeting was attended by MPs of Ukraine, Deputy Head of the State Agency for forest resources Volodymyr Bondar, Deputy Minister of ecology and natural resources of Vasyl Polujko, head of the oblast administrations, representatives of local authorities authorities, scholars and others.

Volodymyr Bondar said that in Ukraine the forests grow in three natural zones within the Plains parts (polissia, forest steppe, Steppe), in the Carpathian Mountains and the mountain areas of Crimea, which have sharp differences on lìsoroslinnihumov. He stressed that forestry is multi-functional. “We not only grow the planting material, create a new planting, take care of them, ensure their integrated use and sustainable development. Environmental component in our forests is decisive – today half of Ukrainian forests are significant environmental limitations and not conducted felling, and the percentage of the protected forests of the State forest Agency is 16.5%. Also, don’t forget the social dimension – the enterprise of forestry are the main employers and taxpayers in the rural areas. At the same time, in recent years, an average of forests give to 16-18 million cubic meters of wood. Deputy Head of the Agency also drew attention to the fact that in Ukraine historically has been the situation with the provision of public forests in the permanent use of the various ministries and agencies.
