Vladimir Bondar: A scandal around the British study was inspired
Deputy head of the state agency of forest Resources of Ukraine Volodymyr Bondar in his interview on the question of a journalist concerning the evaluation of Investigation of the British non-governmental organization earthsight concerning uncontrolled export of forest to Europe indicated that In the State forestry found, on the basis of which documents this organization issued the treatment and analyzed the consequences.
According to Volodymyr Bondar, the organization is located in Great Britain and has been registered in 2015 year. He stressed that it consists of only one person – director, who, in his opinion, is not a specialist. These facts say that this research can be taken into account only partially,-assured Vice-Chairman of the state Agency for Forest resources.
"If we take further vision and destiny of this Organization, we have faced with the following facts." This director of the organization or its representatives informally contacted our public organizations, public activists, who gave them their data. Who are these activists, what data they have provided, we are not known, but to say that it is official data on the felling, we cannot export today. They did not enjoy state official data,-pointed out Volodymyr Bondar.
Deputy head of the state agency of Forest Resources noted that the investigation is built on assumptions, on the guessed, on the statements of unofficial persons who have no evidence to give.
"Building a serious policy, or attitude to the State on such facts and arguments, seems to me wrong." Moreover, civic activists, who say that the data they have taken, they are distorted, they are not true, they are rigged,-said Volodymyr Bondar.
According to the deputy head of the state forestry, the scandal around the investigation was someone inspired and someone directly advantageous.
It is not surprising that he has caused such a reaction from the side, including government structures. But the reaction is, and I hope that our forestry enterprises will be able to prove their innocence. As far as I know, all forestry enterprises worked absolutely in the legal plane, and if the export was exported, it was according to all laws of Ukraine,-said Volodymyr Bondar.
