Recently, the media actively inform about the state of forests, deforestation, diseases of forests. "М. V." Decided to learn about the activity of the Branch Enterprise in its head – Volodymyr Ryzhuk, which is headed by the company for almost 20 years.

"Makariv Forestry" Kyiv Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting economy-State enterprise. This year he marks 32 years from the founding day. The total area of the company is 26533 hectares, including the covered forest area 23852 hectares or 90% of the company's territory. According to its ecological and economic value forestry forests are divided into such groups: forests of environmental and historical importance (protected tracts, forest and botanical preserves, geological monuments of nature) – 5.5% of the total area; Recreational-sanitary forests – 27.4%; Protective Scaffolding – 11.7%; Operating forests – 55.4%. There are pine plantations prevailing in the forest Fund – 69% of the earths covered by forest vegetation. The oak plantations make 11%, Birch – 9%, planting of black alder – 8%, other breeds – 3%. The average age of forest plantings is 61 year, the average annual increase of wood – 5.0 м3/ha, the use of annual growth – 61%.

-Vladimir Sergiyanyy, tell about the company. How many people are currently working here?

– At present the company employs 265 people.

– Your company is one of the budget-forming in the district. What taxes are paid to the local budget?

-As of today, in the last 8 months were paid:

Land Tax – 100, 000 Uah.
PDFO – 5.5 million UAH. (by 83% more than 2017 р.)
Forest rent fee – 1.2 million UAH paid to the local budget and UAH 7 million of the same tax paid to the state budget.

– What is the average wages of workers today?

– The average wages of employees is 15 thous. Uah. Comparing to the year 2017, wages increased by 42%. This is achieved by increasing the sale and cost of products (effective use of an existing resource). This year the production of forestry has increased by 30%. There is also an indicator – labour productivity (it is realization on one working). At present, this index grew by 32%. Approximately as much increased and average wages, comparing with the previous year. Thus, harvesting of forest products this year amounted to 90 thousand. M3.

– At the expense of what manages to hold such a state and pay such wages?

In the Kyiv region, we have the largest wood processing enterprise. On the base of the enterprise there are two large processing shops, where more than 60 persons work on good, high-quality and modern equipment, which is constantly updated. We have the opportunity to implement lumber, both on the domestic market and export. This allows you to get normal wages and pay taxes and, most importantly, to have a means to carry out forestry. I would like to emphasize that our company, being a state enterprise, budgetary funds does not receive, but fully ensures itself at the expense of own activity and pays the state all the foreseen taxes. Today, the salary should be high. We have the opportunity to hold on to the enterprise of professional people.

There is currently a moratorium on deforestation. How in our area with this?

You're wrong. There is a moratorium on export of business forest-Kruulyak. Limitation of the proceeds exists in some cases, in particular, when the season of Silence comes – from April to June – in places of reproduction of forest fauna, in the objects of Natural Reserve fund, where rare red-book species of plants are stored; In places of nesting rare birds (in our area is black stork).

– Does the public appeal to you with questions, why the forest dries?

We are ready and open for active citizens, who are seeking questions concerning the work of the enterprise, environmental and ecological appeals and are ready to provide within the competence of answers and explanations. In particular, the question of drying trees really excites people. To see that dries up trees, do not and in the forest walk. It can be seen on the roads of State or local importance. – What is it related to?

Firstly, it is the weakening of the plantings which takes place due to global climate change and disruption of the hydrological regime of soils. – Are there any research or forecasts for the future regarding the situation?

– Forecasts are disappointing. It is a tendency to total warming, scientists inform about the displacement of forest-steppe in Polissya, and instead will be steppe. Accordingly will be modified and the species composition of the plantings.

How to prevent this higher education? What measures are taken by the enterprise?

– At present, the company conducts a number of concrete measures aimed at improving the sanitary condition and rehabilitation of the subordinate forest plantings. Unfortunately, effective biological methods of overcoming the problem now do not exist. The use of chemical preparations is not effective and environmentally justified. Therefore, the main and effective event remains cutting down (solid or selective) sick trees and replacing the amazed disease plantings with new mixed coniferous-deciduous forests.

In particular, the efficiency of forest plantations in forestry was confirmed during the struggle with the root sponge in the area of the weeping forests more than 15 years ago. There, for the first time in the enterprise was widely applied practice of imposing a significant amount of hardwoods in pine plantations and the event gave a positive result, what the inhabitants of the district can make sure of seeing these young healthy plantations now.

– Is it possible to say that forestry conducts restoration of soils and territories?

Forestry sometimes align those problems that were formed during the management process. Borovka area of 14 hectares. There was extracted sand for the construction of the Chornobyl settlement. After that, the district authorities passed these lands to us, we carried out the iron of these areas and today it is a magnificent forest of pine trees!

– Are there any cases of black diggers, or a pack, Burštinošukačìv?

– Thank God, amber we do not have! If the normal woodland, forest wardens will be in place – this distress will not be in us! This is what I guarantee. Yes, there were cases – found secret coyotes, someone has already tested for the availability of this fossil. But they were several two years ago.

– Mr. Volodymyrivna, in the territory of the forest, that in your subordination, there is a part of the "displacement shafts". How to solve the issue with the preservation of this heritage?

– This area has the status of the territory of the Nature-Reserve fund, it is a geological monument of local importance. According to the current legislation it is guarded, there are no excavations in its territory, no proceeds. Everything as it should be.

– Is illegal deforestation carried out on the territory of the economy? There was information on the felling of age-old oaks.

– Yes, there are indeed cases of unlawful proceeds in insignificant numbers. However, forest protection, fulfilling its direct duties, promptly identifies and transmits materials to law enforcement agencies. With regard to your question of the Oaks – indeed, there are five cases in our area, after which we have introduced a 24-hour alternation in wood arrays, especially where high-quality oaks grow. Cut a tree from one meter in diameter and a length of 1-1.5 m, so that it can be loaded with hands in the car. Oak varieties are very expensive. This is not hundreds of trees, in our forestry and has been stolen for two years 15 oaks. In each case there is a compiled protocol, recourse to law enforcement agencies.

In the villages of Komarivka and Nizzhilochi created student forestry. Tell us about it.

– Yes, in schools of these villages work student forestry. In the premises of the schools with the assistance of forestry created the rooms of forest, equipped with special literature and visual manuals, where in the optional mode more than 40 pupils are acquainted with the nature of native land, work of the enterprise, profession. – The process of decentralization of power is currently in Ukraine. will be created by the OTG, including on the territory of Makariv region. Tell me how this process affects the activity of the enterprise?

– It is now fully an understanding with Makivovskaya District State Administration, Makariv District Council and with the rural communities. We hope that in the future the decentralization reform will give its positive implications, cooperation will not diminish with local authorities, and vice versa – would be more effective.

– By the way, what state of affairs is the warning of fires in the forests of Makarivs'kyi District? What are the main causes of fires in the forests?

– Great attention to our enterprise is given to the protection of forest arrays from fires. At the enterprise operates a forest fire station, which in the seasonal mode employs 16 workers: drivers of fire engines, fighters, Dispatters. In the subordination of the LPs (Forest fire station) 4 fire-fighting cars, the clock is on duty during the entire fire season. In addition, the company installed two 50-meter observation towers, equipped with electronic surveillance cameras for early detection of forest sunbathing cases. Each forestry created warehouses on storage of the primary fire inventory, which provides forest protection and specially created local voluntary fire-fighting wives in case of the sunbathing areas.

This year there were 3 forest fires in our company, which were eliminated by their own forces in the shortest possible time. The average area of fires does not exceed 0.2 hectares, indicating the efficiency and establishment of the fire service forestry. Using the opportunity, I want to contact all readers of the newspaper "М.
