July 19, 2016, T. V.O. Head of the state agency of forest Resources of Ukraine Khrystyna Yushkevych with a working visit visited Dnipropetrovsk region

July 19, 2016, T. V.O. The head of the state agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine Christina Yushkevych visited Dnipropetrovsk region on a working visit.

During the visit she met with the management of the oblast, took part in a meeting with employees of Dnepropetrovsk regional administration of forestry and hunting economy, visited Novomoskovskiy and Novomoskovskiy military forestry.

Among the main topics were discussed the issues of development of the forest industry, fire-prevention measures in the forests of the region and others.

There is a problem of financing of the forest industry of south-eastern regions of Ukraine. And this issue is one of the priority to deal with. In Dnipropetrovsk region, where only 5% of the territory is occupied by forest, and it is mostly of artificial origin, green plantations are especially valuable and important. They not only need to be saved, but also to enlarge their area,-stressed Christina Yushkevych.

T. V. Head of the state forestry also noted that it is necessary to create a level of conditions for the work of Specialists of forest industry in all regions of Ukraine.
