Goslisogenstvo has not signed any memorandums with foreign private companies

Recently, the mass media has been circulated that the State agency signed a memorandum with Active Energy Group (Great Britain) on balanced commercial use of 186.6 thousand. Hectares of forest at the age of stigma in the north of Ukraine.

In this regard, the state agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine officially informs that such memorandum was not signed.

Goslisogenstvo as the central body of the executive power, which implements the State policy in the field of forestry and hunting economy, does not sign memoranda of understanding with private companies, which aim to profit.

Carrying out forestry works and other measures of balanced forest management in accordance with the forestry legislation is the prerogative of business entities.

Note that the government is subordinated to 73% of forests, and 27% are other regular forest users, among which are central bodies of executive power and regional councils.

Forestry of Ukraine really requires investment, but the state forestry considers an inappropriate transfer of the rights of management of the operational fund to foreign private companies, as it confronts the interests of the domestic market of timber production.
