During 2015, the forests in the area of 51 thousand were recreated in Ukraine. Ha that 1.1 times exceeds the area of solid log-47 685 hectares.

Thus, in Polissya in 2015, was restored 22 121 hectares of forests at the square of the log cabins 21 245 hectares (coefficient 1.0); In forest-steppe – 12 855 hectares at the square of the log cabins 11 805 hectares (coefficient 1.1), in the Steppe zone – 4 112 hectares at the square of the log cabins 2 859 ha (coefficient 1.4), in the Carpathians was planted 11 901 hectares of forests at the square of the log cabins 11776 ha (coefficient 1.0).

Considerable exceeding of the reproduction of forests over their shifts is fixed in 2016 year. Thus, during the first half of the current year the coefficient of forest reproduction (the ratio of restored forests to the square of solid shifts) is 0.9 – during this period at the enterprises of the State forestry the reproduction was carried out on the area of 44.9 thous. Ha. In particular, planted 32.2 thousand Hectares of forest crops, of which 2.4 thous. hectares of new forests. This figure is nearly 5% higher than the scheduled playback challenge for this period of 30.8 thousand. Ha. To the above-mentioned area of forest reproduction was credited 12.7 thous. hectares of natural renewal.

The planned volume of garden of forest crops fulfilled forestry enterprises of Polissya, forest-steppe and Carpathian region.

T. O. Notes Head of the State forest agency Christina Yushkevych, restoration and expansion of forest plantings is one of the main priorities of the Department. The actual wooded in Ukraine is 15.9%, while according to the scientists ‘ calculations, the optimal indicator for our country is 20%, she said. -therefore our efforts are aimed at gradual increase of this indicator by monitoring and prevention of unauthorized chopping, as well as implementation of the extended program of forest reproduction.

Besides, Christine Yushkevych recalled that the Government has adopted a new revision of sanitary regulations in the forests of Ukraine, which cannot be abused during sanitary-and-health measures.

T. V. The head of the Department emphasized that the sanitary cutting of forests is a civilized European practice of forest Fund rehabilitation provided effective state and public control over their carrying out and timely reproduction.
