We are open to inspections and ready to work,-Volodymyr Bondar in Zhytomyr region

Today, being on a working trip to Zhytomyr region, deputy chairman of the State committee Vladimir Bondar participated in a meeting on the issues of inspection of state enterprises and other business entities, whose activity is connected with deforestation and Timber Export. The meeting was held at the Zhytomyr Regional State administration.

Volodymyr Bondar, deputy head of the state forestry, emphasized that the forest industry in Zhytomyr region is one of the leading. The Zhitomir region is a key in the forestry sector of Ukraine.

Today, this verification is already operating in all forest areas, we have inspected and in our agency. This should be practical, useful and public. We are open to inspections and ready to work, provide information. Control bodies must understand that the forest industry provides many people's work. And in some Polissya regions, in particular in Zhytomyr region, we are budgetary-forming enterprises,-said Volodymyr Bondar.

He emphasized that the state agency is ready for constructive cooperation with all the structures to be involved in inspections and will contribute to members of the Working Group. and want the test results to be known both by the authorities and the public and our employees. Because they have become hostage to the situation today. And this is almost 50 thousand employees,-said Vladimir Bondar.

According to the deputy head of Zhytomyr Oblast State Administration Yaroslav Lagti, the forest industry is decisive for the region. In many subjects of management it is budget-forming. The progress of this review, its results are extremely important for Zhytomyr Oblast. Today we have to say all the questions of verification, although in some areas and farms of the region already began to inspect forestry enterprises,-said at the beginning of the meeting he.

In his turn, head of the Zhytomyr regional Department of Forestry and Hunting economy Andriykurinsky emphasized that in the oblast all state forestry enterprises operate exclusively within the current legislation, and they are ready to prove it under the Time of any checks.

Almost all forestry management has an international certificate confirming compliance with international forestry standards. Therefore, our timber is competitive in foreign markets,-added Andrei Kurinsky. -The export potential of the management enterprises for the half-year reaches 11 million dollars – it is firewood and processing. I would say that in 2016 the export potential of the forestry of Zhytomyr region amounted to 50 million dollars. After putting into operation the moratorium on the export of the round forest, it decreased to $30 million. Is it able to internal Woodguard to fill this gap in the revenues of export operations-it is still a question. Today in the Ukrainian structure of firewood export 10% accounted for Zhytomyr region. But this small percentage enables our businesses to credit for 0% in the currency, keep the salary level and compensate for the risks occurring on the domestic market».
