National selection of the international competition "Young people in the woods of Europe".

National selection of the international competition "Youth in the Forests of Europe" will be held on May 23, 2018 at 11:00 in the premises of the State Forestry Agency of Ukraine.

During the selection will be conducted:

– testing on knowledge of forestry in Ukraine in English. Students will need to choose the correct answer from 4 variants.

– testing the ability to understand the text from the forestry subject. Students will be asked to translate into Ukrainian 2-3 paragraphs of the English text on forestry topics.

– oral test in English. Students will be asked to submit and answer 1-2 questions.

The application for participation must contain information about the team members and the compliance officer from the school and / or forestry enterprise.

The international competition Youth in Forests of Europe includes two stages, the first of which is the selection at national level of teams of pupils (up to 19 years old), the second – competitions of teams on the international level. In 2018, the final of the competition will be held in Lithuania.

At the International level, there will be three official and one unofficial competition. Official competitions – testing for knowledge of forestry in Europe, practical competition for knowledge of forestry principles and preparing a presentation on a given forestry theme. The language of communication is English.
