SE Fastiv forestry.

In 2017, the Deržlìsagentstvom was initiated cooperation with Germany in the adaptation of forest management in the face of climate change.

In October last year to Ukraine was visited by representatives of the Federal Ministry of food and Agriculture of Germany, the delegation took part representatives of various governmental structures. Thanks to the information that has been obtained within the framework of working visit, Deržlìsagentstvu managed to establish cooperation with the German State Bank of development (hereinafter-KFW) funded development programs around the world. For the purpose of establishing two pilot projects to combat massive vsihannâm conifers and increasing the level of ecological safety of Ukraine were selected two forestry enterprise in Ivano-Frankivsk and Kiev regions.

Now in Ukraine is an expert of KFW – Mr. Winfried Zûss, who studies the problems of mass drying of pine and is preparing a project proposal on the work of the localization and elimination of this disaster.

March 13, 2018, SE “Fastiv forestry”, the delegation state forest Agency, visited the German expert. Director of enterprise Oleg Chemersky introduced Mr. Zûssa with the work and perspectives of enterprise development, demonstrated achievements and outlined the tasks for the nearest time.

Delegation visited Verpikìvske, Doroginske and Snìtinske forestry, where it demonstrated areas of the forest, an example of which you can clearly see the influence of adverse environmental factors and their consequences – the degradation of forests, reducing their environment-generator functions. There are trees with obvious signs of illness, drying and corrupted vìtrovalami, and the reasons for this is the impression of mushrooms, plants-parasites, pests.

In the process of getting acquainted with the work of the enterprise specialists-training indicated that the overall warming, lowering of ground water level, reducing the amount of precipitation during the growing season are the main factors weakening immunity forest stands that leads to mass change.

Experts of the obmìnûvalis experience of dealing with the aftermath of this disaster, the okreslûvali priority measures,

stressed that the weakened and struck by trees is the center of the spread of disease and pests. Timely detection and removal of such trees, at this time, is the main event of salvation. At the same time we should more attention be paid to the development of the forest infrastructure, gradual pereformatuvannû forest stands and planting material for planted today forest will be evolving in the new climate conditions and in the future should be more resistant to the influences of the environment.
