Penalties for forest contamination and violation of fire safety rules can grow 5 times

The Verkhovna Rada intends to increase the administrative penalties for contamination of forest wastes and to violate fire safety requirements in the Woods 5 times. For the adoption of the relevant Bill № 2604 the basis proclaimed 264 MPs, with the minimum required 226, transmit Ukrainian news.

In particular, the draft law envisages increase of fines for contamination of forest wastes of citizens from 5-10 untaxed minima of citizens ‘ incomes to 25-50, and for officials-from 10-20 to 50-100 untaxed minima.

Also, the Council intends to increase fines on violations of fire safety requirements in the forests for citizens with 1-3 tax-free minima to 5-15, for officers-from 3-10 to 15-50.

Recall, Minister of Ecology Ostap Semerak during a working trip to the Carpathians was struck by the scale of the forest deforestation.
