Vladimir Bondar discussed with Minister of Forestry of Belarus Vitaly Drozhzha the question of cooperation in the forestry industry

During the visit of the delegation of Ukrainian licesters to the Republic of Belarus there was a meeting of the deputy head of the state agency of forest Resources of Ukraine Volodymyr Bondar with the Minister of Forestry of Belarus Vitaly Drozhzha.

The parties exchanged experience of forestry of both countries and agreed to intensify cooperation within the framework of the cooperation Agreement.

Minister of Forestry of Belarus Vitaly Drozhzha and his colleagues told that their ministry performs all the functions – develops normative documentation, carries out the function of control and coordinates the economic function. The regional level of state production associations, created according to the regional principle. The farm is engaged in state forestry institutions (forestry). In addition, the subordination of the Ministry are Forestry, design and survey, export-production, hunting, forestry and other organizations, as well as the center of advanced training.

In his turn, Volodymyr Bondar, deputy head of the state forestry, spoke about the state of forest economy of Ukraine, introduction of the electronic accounting system of wood at the enterprises of State forestry.

He also outlined the directions of cooperation with the Belarusian side. In particular:

-Exchange of experience on protection and protection of forests, cultivation of planting material;

-Countering illegal activities in the forest;

-Development of the strategy of forestry adaptation to climate change;

-Development and implementation of the strategy of prevention and response to natural disasters (cross-border cooperation).

Last week we received a confirmation that our joint work will become a success, and the FAO project to counter mass forest-hunting will take place. I am sure that the project will be useful for forestry of our countries, and we further preserve and multiply our fruitful cooperation,-Volodymyr Bondar said.

Note that in 2017 the joint statement of the State Forestry and Ministry of Regional Affairs on the problems of pine forests of Polissya region was signed. It is aimed at attracting the European Community's attention to the problem of the process and possible steps to overcome the situation.

The joint statement was signed within the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Forestry of Belarus to Ukraine on September 27-29, 2017, and was handed over to the joint session of the Committee on Forest and the forest area of the UNECE and the European Forest Commission FAO, which It took place in Warsaw on October 9-13, 2017.
