About 23 thousand planted ha of forests on last year's logs and created one thousand hectares of new forests. This was announced today by Deputy Chairman of the State Agency of Forest Resources Volodymyr Bondar during the Board of the State Agency of Forestry.

He stressed that one of the main tasks of the department is the reproduction of forests. "It is too early to make the results of the forest-cultural campaign. After all, this year the weather conditions somewhat delayed the beginning of the landing of forest almost all over Ukraine. Regarding the restoration of forests at last year's forest frames, which are subject to the State Agency of Forestry, which is 73% of all the country's forests, we are already seeing significant results, "said Vladimir Bondar.

The Deputy Head of the State Agency of Forestry also drew attention to the extremely popularity and interest of the population in joining the All-Ukrainian action "The future of the forest in your hands".

"During the course of the forest felling campaign, which has been successful enough in all areas, the number of requests to join the event has considerably increased. People are massively involved in forest landing along with foresters, "Volodymyr Bondar emphasized.

Let's remind, last year, forestry enterprises, subordinated to the State Agency for Land Resources, recreated 53.2 thousand ha of forests.
