Today, deputy chairman of the State committee Volodymyr Bondar took part in the international Scientific and Practical conference "social and ecological challenges of the forest and forestry management and their overcoming", which takes place in the forest and Garden Park Economy of the National University of Life and Environmental sciences of Ukraine.

It is very necessary now that more such international scientific events have occurred in Ukraine. In order for this difficult time for the Ukrainian forest industry to assess the processes that it takes place in it. We today have, like other post-Soviet countries, the process of reforming the industry. And it needs us. When the industry is powerful and can react to this process, in the final version we will get a positive result,-said Vladimir Bondar.

He emphasized that the forest industry today has many challenges – unfortunately, non-specialists are not only discussions but also evaluation of the forest industry. and therefore, the role of Ukrainian and international scholars should be the world that paves the way of development of the forest industry of Ukraine.

"We are everywhere we hear in mass media and from separate public organizations not only by the things degrading to the forest industry and which derive it beyond the scope of elemental development and understanding." Society is deliberately misleading. And here we hear very little the voice of Forest Science, which in Ukraine is quite serious. It is represented by professional scientists, scientific institutions, and has profound developments. Unfortunately now nobody pays attention to this… Therefore, at this stage the opinion of experts of the forest industry, scientists has a huge and invaluable importance. Holding of such scientific-practical conference, its conclusions should be the bridge, which will output the Ukrainian forest industry on the right direction of development,-said the deputy chairman of the State forestry.

Leading scientists of research institutes and higher educational institutions of the Lissivovo profile from Austria, Belarus, Italy, Germany, Romania, Ukraine, representatives of non-governmental organizations and others take part in the work of the International Conference.

The Conference resolution project States, in particular, that the process of reforming the forestry is not systemic, and often discriminatory in nature, which leads, on the one hand, to increase fiscal pressure on the enterprise, depriving Possibilities of advanced reproduction of loggers, and on the other hand – introduction of additional legislative constraints of economic activity and artificial barriers in elimination of natural natural phenomena, conduction of measures of improvement etc.

Also, scientists note that a major role in achieving the balance of conflict interests is played by forest certification according to the International Scheme Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

In addition, the draft resolutions specify the necessary steps for the first implementation. Including:

-The need to form a broad national dialogue on the role and significance of forests to seek public consensus by developing and approving national forest policy

-Amending the legislation to abolish discriminatory tax burden

-Amendments to legislation that unduly imposes environmental constraints of forestry enterprises

-Development of risk-sustainable forestry development strategies, including Taking into account climate change

-Improvement of the system of monitoring and introduction of the national inventory of Forests
