This was reported by the deputy head of the state Agency for Forestry Resources Vladimir Bondar during a visiting meeting on the issues of the preventive measures to combat pests and forest diseases.

The meeting was organized by the State Committee in cooperation with the Association of Forestry of Ukraine.

"In Ukraine, as well as in many other countries of the world, the massive drying of coniferous forests is rapidly spreading, which is associated with climate change, in particular, global warming." The temperature rises and decreases the amount of precipitation, because it decreases the groundwater level. In this regard, trees lose resistance to the settlement of harmful insects, in particular, carps,-said Vladimir Bondar.

According to him, the first cells of the burial of pine forests were fixed in Ukraine in the year 2011 in Zhytomyr region. According to 2015, the border of the burial cells was moved in north-west direction. A year later, the pine plantations of almost all the northwest areas have already been damaged. At the end of 2017, the swelling of the pines, as a result of pest attack, was found in the central regions of Ukraine. The spring survey of 2018 showed that these cells were also spread in the forest-steppe zone, in particular, on the left bank.

At present, the mass-drying cells cover Volyn, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and continue to spread.

There are several factors that contribute to the spread of scabies and Vsyhannu. In particular, it is a failure of the existing system of health measures in the forests to ensure effective prevention of the distribution of mass reproduction of the top-line cow. -The law of Ukraine "on amending certain legislative acts of Ukraine concerning the protection of fauna" concerning the exceptional carrying out of sanitary jams in forests, damaged by the coronation, during the period of mass reproduction of wild animals from April 1 to June 15

Also, the participants of the meeting set out that for the work on enhancing the stability and replacement of moncultural forests on mixed, invulnerable to pests and climate change forests, it is necessary to ensure their sufficient and stable funding. In this case, it is advisable to create a state fund for the development of Forest Gospdar, legislation which is already filed in Parliament.
